OVERVIEW

Flight layovers are a major pain point to customers. During layovers, they’re often forced to endure boredom during ‘dead time’ at airport terminals.  An app that caters to layover passengers' demands and improves their airport experience was developed using user-centric design principles and input from interviews.


THE PROBLEM

Airline travelers are forced to spend hours waiting during a layover with a lack
of in-airport navigation & activities to pass the time. However, airline apps
do not address this issue on how they can create a schedule based on their needs.

THE SOLUTION
Avianca Airlines Mobile App
A mobile app that lets travelers easily make the most of their flight layover time with an itinerary, booking services in-app, and real-time updates on their flight status.


USER INTERVIEWS
To better understand the habits of travelers during flight layovers, I conducted three one-on-one interviews. These interviews gave me insights on what can be improved on the typical flight layover experience.
